As much as i like oldschool nwu, i got to say that these two skills won't work as good as the current ones...
Root does not provide trees for his Shoda's first spell.
Hinata's ulti fits the way she is buildt as she is centered around dealing damage by spells which are based on her attack. Giving her the old spell with static damage would not work as it lacks the carry part and making the damage instant instead of DPS while still being carry would require a nerf on the total damage it deals and also would change the way she works cause she could deal instant damage and they keep hitting the people instead of channeling during long parts of the teamfight.
